Call for tonight is 7:00! Here are Brandon's Notes from last night:

INVITED DRESS REHEARSAL

TRISH/DANNY/JAMES – let Trish stay where she is for her entire line (sign my face, sign my head) until you pull her away

ALL – quiet feet after opening rock exit – we can hear you walking

DANIEL – we need the p of pill the first time you say it

DANIEL – I can’t believe she’s starting at my school today (just couldn’t understand it)

HEATHER – be a hair upstage of Daniel for your first scene with him

ALL – be aware of side light

BOB – turn downstage to talk to Heather after “she is” (right now you’re turning upstage and
giving your back to us)

DANIEL – be a step further upstage for 180 beginning verses

KYLE – connect more to Kirsten in the first freeze (be a step DS)

EVAN – really use all your words in the opening scene, don’t let any word go by the wayside without accentuating it

EVAN – “dude, I’ve seen your mom”

TRISH – anticipate first entrance into the hallway scene a little bit

EVAN – louder with “if it meant I could get close enough to smell her hair…”

DIANA – enter sooner into first hallway scene

ALL – be aware of the hallway – don’t float too far upstage (generally we need to be a half step further downstage)

ENSEMBLE – make sure your heads are coming up during math for each chord while Brian is speaking

ENSEMBLE – missed the second “at what time of day” (we’ll run this with the band)

EVAN – missed the “that’s who I’m gonna be” head move in Point B

ERIC – don’t get SO close to Daniel for the riffing after Pepe (you’re getting in his light)

BRIAN – even further downstage for “Time’s up!”

EVAN – be prepping your bag during Adam answering the math question

SARAH – don’t watch the exchange between Adam and Ms. Art

JARED – can you be more ready to jump in front of Daniel after Yellow

ALL – heard someone running backstage after the Amber Santall scene

JUSTINE – wait for Trish to get all of her line about “did anyone know Adam was Korean?” to raise your hand

HEATHER – have a little more crazy eyes when you’re first revealed as Korean Ancestor

HEATHER – we need the K of “cake”

HEATHER – “cries in vain” (just needs to be louder)

HEATHER – deliver as much of Bring Me Cake out as possible – have choice times to look at
Adam

DIANA – let Gwen’s performance be simple, don’t be afraid to just stand and deliver

DIANA – don’t be so sad at the end of the Debris scene – looks like you’re about to cry, be more thankful that he’s going to have lunch with you

DANNY – I need more of the words with your solo (the riffs are great, but I need words more)

BRIAN – even further downstage for “get off the desk!”

ALL – quiet feet after Undergrowth scene change

SARAH – the more fun you have with Daniel the more the flying moment works

DANIEL – be a little more physically startled by Mackleby after I Believe

LUNCH LADIES – be sure to pull down your volume for the “class prez”s under Evan’s dialogue (when you’re out in the open, go for it)

JUSTINE – push Adam out of the way and THEN say Nostrildamas line

BOB – cut the lunch bag

BRIAN – too far upstage at top of Mr. Sub

BRIAN – a step further L at top of Difference vocal (be on 7)

DANIEL – too much face on lineup at top of Difference, you don’t need to be so distraught

SARAH – be more Spring Awakening with “is that Ritalin?”

JUSTINE – be up and throwing leaves by “look, Yellow”

NATALEE – don’t open your window until “look, Yellow”

NATALEE/JAMES your shades should be drawn for the button of I Agree

JAMES – you forgot to take the easel off after I Agree

BRIAN – you will be bringing on the wall stick and handing it to James. Brian Cordoba will show you where he is presetting it (SR of the door leaning against the wall)

DIANA – don’t get too close to Daniel in the beginning of Wall

JARED/LINDSEY – in Wall, stop with the acting workshop in the corner before you join the wall, whatever you’re doing with your hands is distracting

JAMES – you shouldn’t see any of the wall people as they’re lining up around you

DANIEL – grab the Ritalin bottle and be looking at it at the end of 180/Who You Are when you’re on the ground – talk to me about how to make this happen

HEATHER – “and also, I will have a Korean son” (as opposed to a white boy like you) – ask me if this doesn’t make sense

HEATHER – be a little less excited about “two left. Take one.”

KIRSTEN – enter sooner in Finale so that your first step onto the actual stage is the beginning of your “oooooo”s

JARED/ERIC – further upstage for freeze at top of Finale (and a little left)

JAMES – a step or two further L in first freeze of Finale

DANIEL – put the book away at top of Finale
